CBS GAMES OF THE WEEK SPOTLIGHT:
Saturday’s CBS Game of the Week shines on the desert as the Oklahoma Wildcatters take on the hometown Arizona Ridge Riders. With postseason seeding on the line, Glendale sets the stage for one final statement before the season heads to Las Vegas.
The Ridge Riders, led by Eduardo Aparecido, Keyshawn Whitehorse and Luciano De Castro, enter the weekend locked in a three-way tie with the Texas Rattlers and Austin Gamblers, all chasing the league-leading Florida Freedom just two games ahead. Meanwhile, J.B. Mauney’s Wildcatters aim to shake up the playoff picture and escape the three-way play-in scenario.
With momentum, pride and playoff positioning colliding in the desert, this weekend’s national broadcast promises a high-stakes finish before the road turns to Las Vegas.
FINAL PUSH IN MOTION
After a weekend of upsets in Kansas City, the race for the season crown has tightened to four contenders — all within striking distance of the $250,000 team bonus. The Florida Freedom remain on top at 23-9, with the Austin Gamblers, Arizona Ridge Riders and Texas Rattlers just two games back at 21-11.
For Arizona, the task is clear: protect home dirt and lock down the final first-round playoff bye. Texas, meanwhile, needs perfection — and an Arizona misstep — to steal that advantage. Carolina’s 17-15 record keeps them just outside the top tier, while the rest of the league battles for seeding and survival before the finale in Las Vegas begins.
TEAM MOMENTUM WATCH
The Austin Gamblers and Texas Rattlers remain neck-and-neck for positioning behind Florida, with both squads eyeing a late-season surge to challenge for the campaign crown. Brady Fielder, riding at a 75% clip, continues to anchor Texas’ charge, while Austin’s star trio of Dalton Kasel, Kaique Pacheco and Sage Steele Kimzey keep the defending champions within reach. Meanwhile, Thiago Salgado and John Crimber continue to power Florida’s dominance — with Crimber going an incredible 7-for-7 since separating his AC joint and battling through bruised, if not fractured, ribs — as both riders remain among the league leaders in qualified rides and MVP points.
REMATCH RECAP
Glendale brings a slate of familiar matchups that could define the final weekend of the season. Thiago Salgado gets another shot at Fringe Minority, who bucked him off in Manchester last December, while teammate Yan Victor Cunhalooks to even the score with Easy Labor, who took him down in 7.48 seconds at Wildcatter Days. The Austin Gamblers’ Kaique Pacheco aims to stay perfect against Sky Walker, having ridden him twice — most recently for 86 points at the 2025 World Finals. On the other side, Sage Steele Kimzey draws Black Harbor, a bull that’s dispatched him twice, the latest in just 2.93 seconds at the World Championships.
Elsewhere, Daniel Keeping faces Project X again after a 1.95-second buckoff at Stampede Days, while Derek Kolbabalooks to remain flawless against Feeds Red River, who he covered for 85.5 points during Rattler Days. In the desert showdown, Keyshawn Whitehorse will try to repeat his 85.5-point success against Let Him Fly, while Wingson Henrique da Silva seeks revenge on BRUNT Haymaker, who bucked him off in 2.83 seconds back in 2023.
With postseason tension peaking and everything on the line, Ridge Rider Days is set to deliver high drama and defining moments as every team fights to finish the regular season on a high note before the dust settles in the desert lights.
